Berah McSwain

Advisor

Berah serves as an advisor to CIEL. Berah is the Managing Partner at Genesis Commercial Capital where he leads capital markets. He has over 25 years of real estate experience and capital markets expertise with a focus given to institutional capital and private equity for development and existing transactions. At Genesis, he led more than $2B in commercial and multifamily transactions over the past three years. 

Prior to Genesis, Berah founded and ran a boutique real estate private equity firm for athletes; sourcing and underwriting a $1 Billion+ proprietary pipeline. Previous work includes underwriting institutional acquisitions and valuations with the Arthur Andersen Real Estate Group and underwriting CMBS with the Wells Fargo Capital Markets Group. 

Berah earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University and Masters in Business Administration from the Whitman School of Business at Syracuse University.
